Message Overview
Acts 6:1–7 shows God’s provision for His growing church through problem-solving servants—the first “deacons” in prototype form.
The serving spirit here flows from the very Spirit of Christ, the ultimate Servant, who came not to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45).
As explosive gospel growth creates real ministry strain, a complaint threatens unity, so the apostles lead the church to appoint seven Spirit-filled, wisdom-marked men to meet tangible needs, preserve peace, and protect the church’s mission—so the Word continues to spread and disciples multiply.

Because Jesus is the ultimate Servant who gave His life as a ransom, His church must live with His serving spirit—
appointing and cultivating Spirit-filled problem-solvers who meet tangible needs, preserve unity, and protect the ministry
of prayer and the Word so that the gospel mission continues to advance.
